October Supper Club at the Home of Feast. You may not be able to get your usual holiday to Spain this year so we brought a Spanish flavour to our first Supper Club.
Our Spanish Supper Club was only scheduled for Friday 2nd Oct but with high demand and reduced numbers due to covid restrictions we sold out quickly. We added another date, Saturday Oct 3rd which sold out within hours. With an extensive waiting list we offered a third night Friday Oct 9th to these guests
We always suggest the if you are interested in future Feast events, subscribe to Feast via our website.
On a very wet, dreary night (not very Spanish at all) we threw open our doors for our very first Supper Club in our new venue. We had fortunately been able to run a few events prior to this. Including a Brunch, a private event and the preparation for the Feast at Home take away event. So we were really looking forward to this event.
We started by serving our starter of Red Pepper and Almond Soup. Followed by our Feast tapas including Manchego Croquettes, Moorish Chicken Skewers, Tortilla with Mojo Picon (a spicy red pepper sauce).
We did worry about the timings for the event. Obviously with a 10pm curfew in place, we had to balance the event so it didn’t feel rushed. The feed back was really positive though.
The main courses of Braised Pork Cheeks or Squash and Butterbean Estofado served with Wrinkled potatoes and mojo verde was delicious.
The final course, dessert followed with choice of either Sangria Jelly & Catalan Cream or Orange Cake, Chocolate sauce and sherry spiked creme fraiche.
We were delighted with how the night went, the feedback was amazing. The votes for the nights favourite elements included
Friday night, the Manchego Croquettes
Saturday night, Orange cake with chocolate sauce and sherry spiked creme fraiche.
Thank you to everyone who came on the 2nd and 3rd, we thank you for following the covid rules and we look forward to seeing everyone who has booked on for the Friday 9th October Supper Club.
